Love Your Ovaries: The Truth About HPV Vaccines – 2019 Updates

Grow a pair of ovaries why dontcha?!

Ladies! In 2003 to 2009 “The Sister Study” enrolled 50,884 women in the United States and Puerto Rico who had a sister diagnosed with breast cancer. The cancer researchers have followed these women since 2003 & have published 90 scientific papers in well respected journals.

This one just came out: Vaginal Douching subsequently increases risk of Ovarian Cancer.

Other ways to maintain your internal environment and cleanliness!

  1. Take probiotics every day. Can’t stress this enough! The reason you can have infections or bad smells is because you don’t have enough good bacteria in your gut. Candida, BV, all thrive when there’s poor diversity of probiotics. Try your best to not take antibiotics often if you can. If you DO take antibiotics, you MUST take this specific strain of probiotic called “Saccharomyces Boulardii” – this is able to live in your gut without being killed by antibiotics. It also prevents yeast from taking over. Everyone of my patients goes on this if they have to take antibiotics.
  2.  You can take a bath and put 2 cups of Apple cider vinegar in the water. ACV is good for SO many things.
  3.  Food you eat. If you eat a lot of sugar and grains this will become food for lots of bad bacteria to thrive on. Best stick to fruits veggies and less processed foods.

 

HPV Vaccinations: Do not be anti anything. Be pro-knowledge

  • In 2013, 3 young girls aged 16, 16, and 18 developed premature ovarian failure after receiving the HPV vaccinations. In two of the girls, anti-ovarian antibodies were present and anti-thyroid antibodies (indicating an autoimmunity).
  • The Am Journal of Reprod Immunology concluded:We documented here the evidence of the potential of the HPV vaccine to trigger a life-disabling autoimmune condition. The increasing number of similar reports of post HPV vaccine-linked autoimmunity and the uncertainty of long-term clinical benefits of HPV vaccination are a matter of public health that warrants further rigorous inquiry.”

 

What are some possibilities as to why they developed premature ovarian failure?

  • Several ingredients in the two HPV vaccines are known to be a problem. One is the use of the  Saccharomyces cerevisiae, common yeast, as the medium in which the Gardasil antigen is developed. S. cerevisiaeis known to trigger autoimmune response.
  • Both of the HPV vaccines contain aluminum adjuvants that are meant to cause a hyper stimulated immune response to “prevent HPV infection.” This hyper stimulated immune response may trigger an auto immune response.
  • In 2012 The BMJ reported a case of a 16 year old girl having premature ovarian failure after HPV vaccine
  • It was concluded: Premature ovarian failure was then notified as a possible adverse event following this HPV vaccination.
  • In 2015, Journal of Expert Opinion Drug Safety concluded : “The current HPV vaccines are both effective and generally safe. However, it should be noted that autoimmune side effects have been reported in several studies.

How is a vaccine considered safe if in several studies, auto immune side effects are common?!?

  • In 2015 Journal of Clinical Rheumatology concluded: Seemingly inexplicit adverse reactions have been described after the injection of the newer vaccines vs. human papillomavirus (HPV). The symptoms more often reported are chronic pain with paresthesias, headaches, fatigue, and orthostatic intolerance. Adverse reactions appear to be more frequent after HPV vaccination when compared to other type of immunizations. Different isolated cases and small series have described the development of complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), and fibromyalgia after HPV vaccination. These are illnesses often difficult to diagnose that have overlapping clinical features. Sympathetic nervous system dysfunction seems to play a major role in the pathogenesis of these syndromes. Also, small fiber neuropathy has been recently recognized in CRPS, POTS, and fibromyalgia. This article forwards the hypothesis that small fiber neuropathy and dysautonomia could be the common underlying pathogenesis to the group of rare, but severe reactions that follow HPV vaccination. Clinicians should be aware of the possible association between HPV vaccination and the development of these difficult to diagnose painful dysautonomic syndromes.

2019 Update: 

On February 14, 2019 a review article was published in the journal “Autoimmunity Reviews” regarding the connection between Autoimmune antibodies to Cardiac proteins and Sudden Cardiac Death? – LINKED TO: HPV Vaccination.

Who is at risk for Sudden Cardiac Death?

  • Patients with cardiomyopathies, myocarditis, ischemic heart disease, hypertensive heart disease, heart failture, cardiac dysrhythmias and cardiac channelopathies.
  • And then there are a percentage of people < 35 years old who had died of Sudden Cardiac Death, with NO EXPLANATION.

What did this study find evidence of?

  • Autopsy of these young people found that they had antibodies to their heart tissues. There were also antibodies to beta-adrenergic receptors and acetylcholine receptors. These receptors receive the signals for adrenal hormones and neurotransmitter (acetylcholine).  Development of  antibodies to these receptors can cause Sudden Cardiac Death, affecting the heart.
  • These people died of SCD after an adverse reaction following a Human Papillomavirus Vaccination.
  • The author of the study found that molecularly, the HPV’s antigens, beta-adrenergic receptors and acetylcholine receptors look similar to the immune system, therefore causing an autoimmune reaction.

Autoimmune side effects following HPV Vaccination:

  • Cardiac Disease: Autoimmune mechanism can also be proposed for cardiac-related adverse reactions following HPV vaccination.
  • POTS disease: Abnormal titer of anti-β1-AR Ab (adrenal receptor antibody) was identified in a case report of POTS following HPV vaccination.
  • Dysautonomia: Antibodies to nicotinic acetylcholine ganglionic receptors, Beta adrenergic and muscarinic M2 receptor antibodies and alpha adrenergic receptor antibodies, following an HPV Quadrivalent vaccine.
    • 14 yo girl received 1st vaccine for HPV 6,11,16,18. 2 wks later developed severe fatigue, stomach pain. 10 days after 2nd HPV vaccine (1 yr later), developed severe knee pain & dx with CRPS. Severe stomach pain. 3 mo post vaccine, she lost 10 lbs and required hospitalization. She was then diagnosed with presyncope and then diagnosed with POTS.

Concluding Remarks:

  • The authors of this article review stated that the vaccine manufacturer is appearing in vaccine compensation court in Washington DC.
  • Several sources state that autoimmune side effects are common with the HPV vaccine.
    • Perhaps there needs to be more tailored approach to vaccinations instead of a more blanketed approach. One size does not fit all.
